Vegfest Brazil + AVA Summit Latin America

We are happy to announce that the Vegfest 2024, one of the biggest vegan events in Latin America held by Sociedade Vegetariana Brasileira – SVB, is teaming up with the Animal Vegan Advocacy Summit to host an AMAZING 4 day event  in São Paulo city in December (5th to 9th) of this year.

The event was created to bring more and more people to the vegan movement and in this current year the lectures and presentations will be carefully curated by a committee of activists from different countries focussing on animal advocacy and activism from South America. We will have amazing foreign speakers and lectures and presentations will be translated in 3 languages (english, spanish and portuguese).

Aside from the paid congress, all the other activities of the event are free, including meditation and yoga, culinary demonstrations, a vegan fair with over a 100 exhibitors, and a thematic Escape Room. We expect at least 8.000 attendees – as we had in 2023.

Please find here a video summarizing the event of 2023 and here a video of the 2024.

Fundraising for the event

Open Philanthropy was kind to offer a match for every fund raised to make this capacity building latin american event possible. This means that every dollar raised will be matched by them. This is a unique opportunity to double the impact of your donation and enable translations, travel grants, and movement building in South America like never seen before.

Please find here the banking information from AVA International. Please note that AVA is not a full 501(c)(3) yet and donations to them directly would not be tax deductible. If tax benefits are a key decision for donating, please donate to AVA’s fiscal sponsor, the Humane America Animal Foundation.

Please email us if you have any questions.

About the Brazilian Vegetarian Society (SVB)

SVB was founded in 2003. We promote plant-based diets by organizing veg fests, promoting Meatless Mondays, managing a Vegan Label, and working with restaurants to increase vegan offerings through their Vegan Option Program.  SVB also works with health professionals to spread knowledge of the health benefits of a plant-based diet and organizing plant-based conferences for health professionals.
